Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored securely hashed). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and name from Google.

Content: We store the pages and files you upload to the service.

Usage Data: We may collect basic usage information such as access times, IP addresses, and browser information for security and service improvement purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the service
  • To authenticate your account
  • To serve your uploaded content to authorized viewers
  • To communicate with you about the service
  • To detect and prevent abuse

3. Content Visibility

You control the visibility of your uploaded pages:

  • Public: Anyone with the link can view the page
  • Shared: Only users you specify by email can view the page
  • Private: Only you can view the page
  • Passcode: Anyone with a valid passcode can view the page

Please note that public pages may be indexed by search engines or accessed by anyone who obtains the URL.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your content is stored on cloud infrastructure. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure. Do not upload sensitive personal information, passwords, API keys, or confidential data.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only:

  • To comply with legal obligations
  • To protect our rights or safety, or that of others
  • With service providers who assist in operating the service (e.g., cloud hosting)

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and content data while your account is active. You may delete your pages at any time. We may delete inactive accounts and their content after extended periods of inactivity.

You can:

  • Access and download your uploaded content
  • Delete your pages
  • Delete your account
  • Request information about data we hold about you

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage for authentication purposes. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Third-Party Services

If you sign in with Google, Google's privacy policy applies to that authentication. Pages you upload may contain third-party scripts or resources that have their own privacy practices.

10. Children

Outpost is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on the service.
