For each U.S. university, we take its position in three 2026 rankings — U.S. News, THE, and QS — and average those three positions. The school with the lowest average comes first. Each number in the table links to that school’s page on the source site.

Reading the table. The large number in each source column is the school’s index — its row in that ranking’s U.S. listing. The smaller blue figure beneath is the source’s original published rank: national for U.S. News, global for THE and QS. The Avg Index is the equal-weighted mean of the indices that exist for a school and drives the overall Rank (dense-ranked, ties share a rank). — About this view: the three sources go to different depths (US News 57, THE 32, QS 100). This table is restricted to U.S. universities that appear in all three 2026 listings — the most apples-to-apples slice — and stops at the first row where any source goes blank.
